Being well supported for the triumph and no1 still knows who has it now

Im assuming NJH as Nicholls would surely have mentioned him somewhere and Nicky has a habbit of lettin peeps mop up a few prices 1st!

hes only 12s with coral for the truimph despite being unraced in this country

also 2nd fav with lad br okes i had a quick look on france galop website and it says it was exported to gbr on the 20 november someone must know whos got him know

Was told Henderson elsewhere but was lookin for some1 who knew for definite?

yeah loos like it could be then also be intrested to know about a few others who have been added like telex du berlais and vadero dairy

While I was over I sat on ROLLING STAR ATR Tracker who I’d have ridden at Ascot in the two-mile juvenile hurdle and he really impressed me, lovely attitude and way of going with size and scope.

He’s one to put in the book for when he runs because he looked smart when he won his only hurdle race in Paris last October.

Would this one be aimed at the Triumph ?

i backed it anyway....i know the race mugs punters when it comes to ap, but i simply don't care. l've got the ante post blues, and i wanne see mine get a run in soon.

Very nice horse. Be interesting to see if he runs again before Cheltenham. Will come on a lot for today IMO

Apart from the monster, most impressive winer of the day for me. Nicholls clearly rated Irish Saint but rolling Star was very confidently ridden, especially in that ground where it was difficult to pick up.

Have to agree with the comments above, and say he was very impressive; particularly his attitude.

Using Rock D'Apsis as a guide, Rolling Star beat him 32 lengths giving away 7lbs today, and Far West beat Rock D'Apsis 33 lengths giving 4lbs away.  Both of those were Rolling Star's and Far West's first hurdle race.

That makes Rolling Star and Far West very very close, based on known form lines.  Something tells me that Rolling Star might be a level above Far West though, and expect him to improve at a fairly fast rate.

I'm gutted I missed the 10's, but didn't fancy taking the risk on a horse that hadn't ran, and now the 5's doesn't interest me much though.

except rok d'apsis was race fit when he faced rolling star, so id have rolling star much further ahead with more improovment to come

But I agree with you alleged, and say that in the long term I see Rolling Star as the one with the more potential.

I wouldn't be taking 5's on him now though, this race is always a minefield.  There could be another Countrywide Flame in there lurking in the 20/1 - 30/1 bracket that hasn't been unearthed yet.

8's with Lads WC. Think thats a far better price than the 10s before race

I always leave the triumph hurdle alone until much closer to the time. Think one of the french one's will win but seen it a few time where the early triumph form doesn't work out. Remember Sam Winner being the talking horse all year until closer to the time. I think it's well worth waiting until the Adonis as that is always a strong pointer. I'd hold fire.

i usually leave it alone as well mate but i was taken by that performance they streched well clear of the third, if anything comes out of the adonis of note or some super impressive performance somewhere else then i might need to have a saver

off subject a bit, well chief you were there today what do you think of the new ones perfomance and chances in the neptune, i personally thought if STD had held up the horse a touch longer he would have won comfortably whats your take mate?

I thought that the New One put in a really good Neptune trial today alleged, and I don't think it would have done his chances any harm.  My first reaction as he crossed the line was of disappointment because I expected him to win, but having watched it back, it was a better performance than I thought.

He had such an easy race at Warwick a few weeks ago, the Twiston Davies team would have learnt much more today than letting him win an egg and spoon race somewhere else.

My first reaction was that he just got tired in the ground, and was worn down by a horse who is a real stayer over 3m, but having watched it back, I defintiely think if STD had held on to him and used his speed after the last then he would have won fairly cosily.

But that's what trials day is all about imo.  They can now use that information to help his chances at the Festival, where if it does come up soft, they know he handles the ground, but just have to hold onto him a tad longer.

He's put up two very good (but different) performances at Cheltenham now on varying ground.  Many of the others at the top of the market have either only ran once, in egg and spoon races or on heavy, so The New One is a worthy fav imo.
