Anybody know what's happening. Had an entry recently at Ascot but pulled I'm assuming because of the ground. Clocks ticking for Chelters and I just think this is a real good one.

Was just about to bump up an old Cotton Mill thread on here.

Not been given a Champion Hurdle entry, according to the unofficial RP entries; must be Coral Cup or County Hurlde now

What do they mean by an unofficial entry when initial entries are next week!!!!

Not sure how accurate those unofficial entries are, I might be wrong but I didn't see Wyck Hill's name on the GC ones yesterday, but once his owner said he's entered he appeared. Imperial Commander isn't on the entries either but I'd imagine they would have at least given him an entry, so Cotton Mill could still have a chance.

Wyck Hill is in the Gold Cup one mate, but he's at the top of the list alphabetically, so must have only put him in it today.

FWIW, I think Cotton Mill would have had a small chance in the Champion Hurdle, but with no prep run, I think the Coral Cup off 145 would be the obvious choice.  Joint top weight was 155 last year (Get Me Out of Here and Carlito Brigante), so he'd slip nicely in the handicap and is very well treated imo.

Coral Cup off 145 is assuming they don't wreck his mark before the Festival.

Also just found this on web, Totesport Trophy (think that's the Betfair Hurdle now) in February is his next aim.

Cheers.

Well that'll definitely wreck his mark if he wins that

Yeah that's what I meant, Wyck Hill wasn't on the list yesterday but appeared on the list today after they said he had an entry, same with IC I think but they just haven't come out and guaranteed he'll have an entry yet.  I like Cotton Mill (think we all backed him last year) but it does worry me backing him at Cheltenham again when he ran out on his only appearance there.  Could just be a one-off and I suppose at 50's he's worth a small bet but I'd rather save my money I think.

Well its a decent pot wellchief, worth going for. But if you think its Coral Cup for him then the Betfair will be the perfect warm up

Anyone know if another of JF's New Years Eve is still being aimed at the Supreme?
