think he'll run in the neptune. My tent or yours runs in the last that form is stand out the time they clocked was very impressive over 2 miles.

Thats my hunch also, has the speed as you point out.

I really like Taquin du Seuil and have a AP on him for Neptune which looks the obvious race for him in March. BUT......read today the winner of the Newbury Challow has never gone on to win the Neptune or equivalent 2m5f Novice Hurdle at The Festival. Been a few 2nds (Denam/Reve de Sivola) and a 3rd (Diamond Harry) and one winner went on to win the Albert Bartlett (Wichita Lineman). Time to break that stat. Reckon Pont Alexandre could be the number 1 risk in Neptune.

THat should read DENMAN not Denam.........of all the ones to get wrong.

Must admit i like Pont Alexandre a lot. Just can't back him until i know what wille 'self to himself' mullins is doing with his cheltenham lot.

Very high knee action puts me off somewhat. Something tells me that in a large field at Championship pace, he will not produce.

Also noticed the knee action and would have similar concerns to Glossy despite how impressive TDS has been.

He certainly went into my notebook as a contender for the Neptune. Whether he simply adapted to the conditions of the race better than his rivals is an open question. It was a slow enough pace initially and turned out to be a bit of a slog in the heavy ground, neither of which will happen at the festival.

Didn't see the race so would appreciate a comment on Clondaw K; was it the ground or was he just not good enough?

By:
Don't think Clondow was right bluebird. Nothing concrete from the stable yet but expecting to hear that he was found to be lame or didn't scope well post-race.

Agree with Glossy. ran too bad to be true. although I still don't think he's anywhere near Cheltenham class myself.
