willie the milk , youre ante post multiple including a 1/2 and a 5/4 is just a horrid bet m8. ante post is not a great idea in general but to put shorties together ante post is a no no , big bucks has already out and another shortie will almost deffo not get to the gig.id say getting all four to ru i the races youve backed them for is probably odds against, youve then got to get them to wi (highley unlikely) even if you get em all to post and they all win they may even start bigger prices.last year people were betting big bucks ante post at shorter prices than he won at,no doubt some of he same people have repeated the dose , thisd time theyve done their loot.if yo feel you gtta bet ante post then looking for big priced horses that have the doubt of running built in to the price is the way to go.personally id wait for nrnb.

Agree about ap value wtm though picking horses that really only have one target is a start.
I rarely bet during the meeting, having long range AP punts then some bigger bets when they go NRNB the week before. On my original premise of only one target, I did have a silly £1EW yankee today with Paddy Power, 1/4 odds a place 1,2&3. Dodging Bullets - Supreme - 12/1 Rival D'Estruval - National Hunt Chase - 14/1 Monksland - World Hurdle - 8/1 Salsify - Foxhunters - 9/1 I think they will all be shorter on the day if they get there and if they don't, well they won't be in the wrong race! Usually do loads of ap multiples and luckies.
Only two multiples this year and 1 lucky, so managing to reign myself in. Lucky is £2 win: Cue Card - King George 7/1 Simonsig - Arkle 7/2 Grandouet - Champion Hurdle 12/1 Flemenstar - Gold Cup 9/1 I down already and likely to have a non runner as well. That's why I don't do them any more!! |

A few years ago i did a lucky 15 a/post bet at cheltenham ..i just got the one winner at 12/1[alberters run i think it was] at the time w hill was giving treble the odds on one winner so i went in the monday after cheltenham to collect on my 36/1 winner to be told that the treble the odds did not apply to anti/post bets. w hill has since left the emerald isle...i not sure if this rule applys to all bookies on anti/post lucky 15s if it does one of my fav bets is not the same value as an anti/post wager,,i would like to know if any of the top bookies apply the same rule. thank you.
