The Tote used to run a Festival 1st class special from Euston to Cheltenham on the Tues/Wed & Friday but since the buy out by BetFred they "took the decision to dis-continue the service" so the nice girl at BFred Hospitaility told me. Anyone now of a similiar service from London offering the Train/meal/marquee package ?

Hijacking this and using it as a general travel topic but on the Tuesday and Wednesday we are stopping in Bromsgrove; is it better to get the train in or will a taxi be relatively cheap?

bbf Bromsgrove is 35 miles from Cheltenham straight down the M5. Getting to Cheltenham won't be a problem but I wouldn't be too confident in finding a Cheltenham taxi driver that would want to take you back late at night......far too much money to be made locally and they will be off patch and not earning for about 45 minutes.

Not sure bbf. I'm not aware of any trains from Cheltenham which stop at Bromsgrove. You may have to go to Birmingham New Street and change, so the journey will be much longer than you would expect.

Bluebird..Taxi Bromsgrove to Chelt would be apprx £120 return..
If you were going by train bromsgrove to worcester shrub hill, change then WSH to cheltenham would be your best bet..
