Someone will take him on as a publicity stunt. There's always a very tasty price in the morning before getting backed in.

Will end up 1/5 this year as no opposition at all. Bookies have been able to hype one every year to take the mugs money. I reckon they wont be able to find one this year but then they are very ingenious animals. Perhaps they will grab onto VLV's wind op.

Even if Duffy we must be talking 2/7 Bucks on the day

"IF" those two somehow turned up on the day after having proved themselves over the distance beforehand and also showing that they were over their problems then he would not be a 2/7 shot...lots of "IFS" in there mind you.!

5/6 is the shortest he's been for any of the previous 4 world hurdles and I'd think that an on the ball solwhit and peddlers would be the equal of anything he's faced so far....certainly he'd be nowhere near 2/7, apart from his first world hurdle that is., but who knows where they are anyways??Grin

I am hoping for another great white hope (altho Gandalf's Shadowfax looks to want shorter) because I am too chicken to pile on months in advance.

I consider myself a gambler of substantial bottle, but the daily checking of markets etc to ensure all is well is a considerable deterent imo. Indeed I have got away with it the last 2 years anyway thanks to some pretender emerging as a 'threat'.
