Thanks Aunty. I remember watching the race live.
Some horrible falls but I'm pretty sure they were all alright. I loved Family Business. Sadly, he's now in horsey heaven ![]() He didn't like having his head clipped by the looks of things. |

The premature cheer as they walk onto the course for the supreme. Follow by the actual cheer when they set off. Can't beat it.

One Man's Queen Mother Champion Chase was one of my all-time great racing moments. What a superb horse he was; used to break my heart watching him hit the wall in the Gold Cup every year before they dropped him in trip and let his class do the talking.

Ditto tom I have a special meomory for racehorses that get pilloried for what they don't win, who then come out and do something amazing. It's probably heresy in a Cheltenham group like this but I'm thinking: http://www.youtube.com/watch?gl=GB&hl=en-GB&v=Dpessb3m-nA Bloody hell, he should have been a chaser! |

Inglis Drever hitting a flat spot on a Thursday in Cheltenham in March before storming up the run-in that he loved flying up to win again. Lump in the throat moment for me was the reception he got on the way back

Imperial Commander winning the Gold Cup, hopefully reminding the marketing people and those who bought those pi$$ant little Denman or Kauto badges that racing isn't about 'sides'.
Off topic somewhat but I got that off my chest. |
