I think the yard have at least one better prospect but he would win on looks and is quite classy with solid form. Think Tizzard may think he has a better one judged on Ascot.

His NH flat form didnt excite me but i think that was a very good run today, nicky never has them anywhere near fit first time so i expect some major improvement.
Looks like another Sprinter Sacre/Riverside Theatre debut to me.
Still looking forward to who he runs on the friday at newbury at the Hennessey meeting, hopefully it will be Mono Man

What i mean by that is that in time he will be running in better races than the winner imo. He was very green and pulled hard and if he did not have a touch of class would have been beat a lot further. It maybe next season when he fulfils his potential,as like many of the trainers nov hurdlers he looks a tad weak at this stage of his career. Think Dodging Bullets is pretty much at his level as a novice, and not so confident about him reaching the high levels of the game.

I have smimilar doubts about Dodging, I really do, though i also accept he should improve in a better race. The race was a farce so hard to get carried away, and I do not think the way it was run ideally suited DB, but RM looks a nice long term prospect. Not the biggest ever, but already wanting a fence.

Well when you put it like that budd i agree,Dodging Bullets is very good and had to make his own running which certainly didnt suit him, Having said that,i think he might just be a tad short of been top class,RM will be a chaser in time i very much doubt chasing will be DB game.

I actually think the 3rd in that race was potentially the most interesting for this year's festival.
Court Minstrel would certainly have been better suited by a faster gallop, though I accept most would have done. Showed a neat turn of foot going round the final bend to try and get a run and then baulked at final obstacle. The fact he really ran on after that was a good sign

Good performance though a rematch with the second is likely to produce a much closer outcome. It did really well, considering it jumped the first 2 flights as if it had clogs on and probably lost 6 lengths in the process.

If they go very fast he can outstay some of them. Then again, it could also play into the hands of other stayers such as Champagne Fever. When Al ferof won it, i don't think he was the best 2 miler in that race. I think Spirit Son was the best hurdler to take out of that renewal.

Was anyone else not put off a bit by his hurdling? I thought he looked a bit ungainly at several hurdles but maybe that was the ground factor. I don't think the form of the race is relevant as it basically looked like a piece of work for him and resulted in a sprint finish off a crawl

you are not alone, his legs did an 'attraction' over a few of the hurdles, not noticed it before but every now and then he did put in a jump that made you think he was schooled at seven barrows.
I hope it was down to pace.

With MTOY and the emmergance of Chatterbox (original plan was too miss the Fes) im sure the county must be under consideration. Im sure Nicky would have left a lot to work on yesterday but still struggle to see it not finding a couple too good in the Supreme. Would surely go close if 140 is the given mark in the county.

Whilst I cannot be sure, be gobsmacked if connections send him down the handicap route.
And anyway if RM is to be competitive of 140 in County, Court Minstrel will absolutely hose up!

I have a sneaky feeling this one is going to be a top chaser next few years. Not at all interested in him for Cheltenham this season, but will definitely be keeping an eye on him.
