Chasing been mentioned the start of the week

Why oh why would they want to send it chasing? Bred for the flat and all but refused a hurdle last time out at Cheltenham.
Just don't understand why some seem to want to force a fence on a horse like this. It's a 5 year old; plenty of time to consider such alternatives after seeing how a season or 2 over hurdles pans out. |

Thanks BJG, agree with glossy I really think he could have gone very far in the 2m division this year

Agree, came as a massive surprise to me - will start over 2m hurdles and may go chasin then, was in RP Monday
Think he is a live outsider for the CH given natural improvement, looks like a drop down in trip could b the makin of him! We sall see |

"He'll certainly jump a fence but we'll see how he gets on over hurdles first"
The direct quote^, will start over 2m hurdles and if disappoints wil prob go chasin |

I put him up quite a while ago on here for the Champion Hurdle, and have backed him in the 80's.
There were rumours months ago about him chasing, but I thought it was worth the risk. The rumours were the RSA, but I don't think he'll ever get 3 miles. Like others, I think he's an out and out 2 mile hurdler. For the RP hurdle, I think he's much better than his 145 rating, and if Brampour can win this off 149, I think Cotton Mill can off 145. |

Would be interesting though how a decent John Ferguson chaser would get on.
I didn't think he's had any, but just checked and he's had 2 wins from 8. |

Was pulled out of the RP hurdle, not entered |

That seems odd to me if the horse is fit and well. If they want to try him out as a 2 m hurdler the RP Hurdle would be a good trial of an attractive looking mark. What next? The Bula perhaps?
