I saw a few nice prospects sold at Newmarket this morning but they went to overseas flat buyers. This explains why bumper horses seem to be superior to ex-flat horses in the top novice hurdles these days.

order with its breeding for 2k must be worth a gamble remove its knackers and stick it out in a field to strengthen up and it might make a decent handicapper in a couple of years.

Chiberta King - 105 rated on the flat - entered at Ascot tomorrow.

Apart from Celestial Halo can anybody think of another Galileo who was decent over hurdles?
i'm always put off backing a horse over hurdles when their by galileo

I don't think there are any at the top level. Galileo's Choice did OK last season - not sure if he'll be back this year.

Ye you always get the odd few who will win a few maidens and a handicap hurdle or two,But very rare to see them winning grade 1s,
And you may as well forget about them over fences.

Mind you, people said Montjeu's couldn't run at Cheltenham until Hurricane Fly came along.

Given Chiberta King is a decent flat horse the way My tent or Yours cruised past him was mighty impressive. If that one can improve his jumping he could be a monster (though he has a chaser's physique).

Don't think it will be long before Mullins horse running today on Flat - Call Me Bubbles is over timber.

Lord clearly has an engine but won't get away with that in better company...that would have been 3rd time in a row he'd refused to race. No doubts he's got ability...you would just have nagging doubt about him doing it again.

Ransom Note running in the first at Kempton today - an interesting one - rated 117 at his peak on the flat (now 102) but never won over 9 f and most of his wins on G-F ground. Also still entire (accordint to the RP anyway). Possibly not a natural hurdler? Certainly not for me at 7/4 Plain

Thought Lord of the House would do well even though he was reluctant to jump off. Aaim to Prosper, like the aforementioned, I didn't expect to see him over jumps. Good luck to them both. Will watch with interest.
