Almost is Howdi!
Yep, very excited about seeing him out tomorrow. My number one horse to follow this season. |
By:
Like him too, dunno wat trip they will go, a bit i read from Frank Berry earlier said they were nt sure
By:
AP mccoy's hoss to follow last year said it on the morning line.
By:
BJ I've already told you 2m for sure

I've gone a bit mad on this beast today
If this horse is even half as good as they think he is, 4/7 is a very generous price. |
By:
Cant back it myself today on the likely ground but gl

You dont think it will be soft enough BJG?
By:
I actually hadnt considered it wouldnt be soft enough. Watching this first race, it may be a bit of a worry.
By:
Didnt hurdle that fluently... jumped them quite big didnt he? Got a bit better as the race went on thought.... and it doesnt matter quite as much if you have an engine like that!
By:
Very impressive indeed, nice turn of foot at the end, Weld said he prefers decent ground too fwiw, gets thru the soft but better on better going
By:
"We'll look for a novice but could wait until Christmas as we're not in any hurry with him.
"I hope the spring is his target. He's won in testing ground there but that's really not what he wants. He's a talented horse with a lot of class." |
By:
Interesting that his only disappointing run was on the best ground he has encountered.
By:
Disapointing run
![]() He'll love the good ground ![]() |
By:
I was talking about punchestown rhinestone...... when he ran quite flat and just didnt have his usual turn of foot. Maybe he just wasn't right on the day, but I was there that day and wondered if it was the better ground.
By:
Punchestown,??A flat run??
A short head to the ill fated Lovethehigherlaw in an epic race? in one of the best bumpers u could see?? Weld has always stated a preference for better ground. |
By:
CCM - yeah I know. But that was a cracking good run. He wasn't far off the pace, I think the pacesetters finished way out the back, and he was left there very early that day. To his testament when he was passed he really battled back well. It turned out a right staying race.
By:
Each to their own lads. He laughed at Jenari giving him a stone at Leop previously. Think they were off levels at Punch and only beat him 4 or 5 lengths. Fair point about them going off fast, I agree with that, but was still disappointed he travelled so well then couldn't seem to pick up.
I also don't think it was one of the best bumpers you could ever see dj! Clearly a good renewal, but that might be slight hyperbole ![]() I am not crabbing the horse by the way, I am a massive fan and have followed him very closely for ages. Just intrigued DK thinks he will be even better on better ground when he has looked so very good on soft. |
By:
Wonder if Jp will send him to a more NH orientated yard.
By:
No
By:
Can't wait to see him again today....
Decent little race mind. |

Did he not win this year's Supreme
oh thats right he didn't, costing me 5 figures. Never mind, I will make up for it next year, going deeper into the 5 figures to boot ![]() Big fan of the animal, I would certainly go along with the idea that spring ground be good for him perhaps peaking around 12/3/13... |
By:
Cant believe he is 100/30 in this..... massive price imo.
By:
wonder how good they think he is..was entered for a mere listed race before being pulled out...this race will tell us more
By:
I thought that too, but I thought Bright New Dawn was even bigger value given his form with Ned Buntline
By:
Unbelievable performance from the winner. Looked a decent renewal and he pulverised them.
Dont think Waaheb ever looked quite himself, although that could be pocket talking. His hurdling was very disappointing as well. |
By:
Bubble burst! Jezki looked impressive.
By:
Jumped poorly and didn't seem to have the turn of pace. Really disappointing
![]() |
By:
Sizing Rio and the other 2 defo set the race up for the hold-up horses but still hard not to be impressed with winner...Waaheb doesnt hurdle well enough for me
By:
jezki was a bit sticky at times wasn't he, a slight concern that in a much bigger field at the festival he could get into a bit of trouble jumping like that.
By:
Only Waaheb's 2nd run over sticks there today. Will be better next season imo.
