Should have read 2011 Arkle winner, Jewson winner and RSA winner.

Good one. TBF, Finian's Rainbow holds up the side a bit for the Arkle.
There was a piece in the RP last season about how most recent RSA winners failed to win a race in the following season (apart from the very high class Denman and Albertas). |

Sorry Howdi, it's 2 wins.
Since Cheltenham Arkle 1.Captain Chris - 5 runs, 1 win 2. Finians - 5 runs, 4 wins 3. Realt Dubh - 5 runs, 1 win Jewson 1. Noble Prince - 7 runs, 1 win 2. Wishful Thinking - 9 runs, 2 wins 3. Loosen my Load - 6 runs, 1 win RSA 1. Bostons Angel - 5 runs, 0 wins 2. Jessies Dream - 0 runs 3. Wayward Prince - 5 runs, 0 wins That's 47 runs and 10 wins. Take out Finians and its 42 runs and 6 wins - not what I'd call a vintage year ![]() |

Who do RSA horses struggle so much the next year?
|
|

race too hard too early in their career imo. Jewson may become favoured option in future years,.
