I'll be there, but will be going on the Saturday for Old Roan Chase day.

I'm not sure who's running in that this year, but I think I read that Albertas is - but it's usually a really small field race.

The crowd is usually quite small for the non National meetings, so there's always loads of space and really easy to get a pint and move about.

Liverpool Central has been shut for months for a refurb, but that reopens tomorrow, so if you're staying in the city centre then it's really easy to get to the track - just get the Ormskirk train, and its only about 15mins on that from the city centre.

Cheers for that Wellchief,i'll be staying in Manchester so will be just there for the meeting itself,
Sundays card maybe not as good as the saturday quality wise,But i'll make sure i enjoy it nonetheless!

Old Roan Chase entries - not the stongest line up, but hopefully more than 3 runners like last year.

Unfortunately no Albertas.

I'll be interested to see how For Non Stop and Pacha Du Polder get on out of novice company.  Would be good to see Wishful Thinking and Noble Prince put last season behind them as well.

I agree about PdP. I'm sure Pepitte Rose didn't give her true running at Aintree last season. It doesn't look the highest quality field, but could well be competetive (+ there's no Master Minded to scare off the opposition).

lovely early season race. I like Non Stop got some useful form under his belt imo.
Report shockster October 22, 2012 9:27 PM BST
Yes For Non Stop will get a nice bit of weight from the established horses.

Hope Wishfull Thinking comes back to his best. Can't help thinking the trainer ruined the best last season with both campaign and riding tactics.
Report Sergei_Rebrofl October 23, 2012 9:36 AM BST
Wishful thinking only got his proper trip once or twice last season didn't he? Fingers crossed back at 2m4 we can find some decent prices on him
