I know he's going to be campaigned over longer trips but 3 mile plus? Isn't he short for the Paddy Power? If he is well handicapped, that race would make more sense to me.

Amazing to say you've found the winner of a competetive handicap before you've seen the entries
![]() I don't think Newbury does suit him that much - after all he got beaten by Bobs Worth in conditions that should have overwhelmingly favoured CC (BW over a trip too short, on a flat track and in need of a breathing op). Plus CC has the 10 lb penalty that is Tizzard. Finally 26 f looks too far.... Re FF's point though - the Hennessey weights are framed before the PP so could be entered in both and if he runs well in the PP would likely be well in for the Hennessey. |

Howdi I really like Cue Card this season although I do not see him as the Henessey winner I do think he will end up running in the Gold Cup.

I remember the day in the bumper when everyone thought he was coming back to the fioeld and he went further away Cuey

ps you can still like a horses chance in a handicap before youve seen the entries if you think he's on a winning mark and you have a rough idea of who may be top weight.

Of course, but like its chances is not the same as found the winner

I won 8 years in a row and he hasn't spoken to me since. Still owes me the cash as well which going by his past record I doubt I'll see - good memory you Duffy!!

I think CC is a 2 and half miler(if he has a trip!!),but i would be interested to see how he gets on over further.
I find him a bit difficult to work out to be honest. |

Agree, i don't fancy him going over 3 either, i think that he's got plenty of pace and when he gets into a rhythm jumping wise he's very impressive, i also have a slight worry in terms of going further that although he looks relaxed enough, he may in fact be doing just a little bit too much, the problem is that with sprinter sacre around ,there may be an inclination to look for different trips that aren't really the best trip....i personally think that 2 miles maybe 2.4 miles would be his best and could see him doing some damage when you know who isn't running....i'd run him in the PP myself.

They keep mentioning the King George so the Ryanair or the Gold Cup is presumably the aim

from Cue Card thread
Far From Trouble 18 Sep 12 19:25 Potential Ryanair winner imo That said I think he'd have no problem getting 3 miles. Doubt he's a Gold Cup horse though. Ran well at Newbury a couple of times last season and wit Bob's Worth going for the Hennessey (allegedly) I wouldn't write that out yet! from Hennessey early fancies thread Far From Trouble 09 Oct 12 21:35 I'd still like to see Cue Card show up here ![]() We know imo ![]() |
