Considering he never ran again for 7months I suspect they found something amiss. He's a talented horse on his day and if he goes hurdling he's sure to win his fair share. Whether he'll be good enough to run at Cheltenham is another story

based on what? only run once over hurdles and jumping was sound if not spectacular...certainly far too soon to be writing him off on that score

After his hurdles debut, which was in a Grade 2 and respectable, Dessie Hughes reported him to have a cough or something? Cant remember exactly.

Have no strong opinions on this beast one way or tother. It's hard to really as there is little to go on.

yer right DI,that was a bit uncalled for in only his 1st hurdles race,i shall take that back,and give him another couple of races before passing judgement.

Minsk is set to resume his hurdling career next month after rejoining Dessie Hughes following a stint on the Flat with John Oxx.

Hughes is eyeing a novice event at either Navan and Punchestown for the four-year-old's first run of the winter campaign.

"I think he'll be going to Navan in middle of next month [November] or to Punchestown around that time. He'll run somewhere in the middle of November."

Runs at the weekened @ puncherstown

small stakes neptune @ 16/1 but imo to get 2 mls @ chelt you need to b able to get 2ml 4 f ? as its a tough 2 mls so the puncherstown race

CRoar, don't be too hard on Cammy. He had an opinion on a particular horse [Maybe won't work out] But from last year Cammy was going on about the horse. I suppose with his beliefs he was trying to give everyone out there a tip. You got to give It to him, he had the B****ocks to air his views. Best of luck with the horse Cammy. Looks like they are aiming for the Neptune but unfortunately they will bump into Don Cossack.

I think you dont believe a word these connections tell you about targets and in fact look elsewhere if they are going out of their way to stress a race in the lead up to the Festival. Suspicions on their bullishness for the Festival for this horse last year, he ran an adequate race over hurdles after being talked up as a world -beater by them beforehand then withdrew him from the Festival before you could say money's in the satchels.

They had everyone on here by announcing their target of the Coral Cup for Hardy Eustace while clearing up the prices on him for the Champion Hurdle on here before declaring their true target just before the race ... sneaky sneaky.
