Am putting this here, rather than main HRF as less likely to get buried.

I read the great man's 1983 Weekender piece in the Post today- just glad I'm not incontinent. I was snorting like Sir Nicholas Soames when they plate up the grouse.

It's 15 years next month, since he popped off to that great saloon bar in the sky. I can't understand why no-one has released his greatest hits, be it the RP, Private Eye or (especially) The Spectator, for whom most of his best work was written. It may be something to do with his estate's literary rights etc, I don't know, but someone really ought to marshal it and get a book out PDFQ.

Agree he was a genius. Feel free if you feel that strongly about it - I am sure the estate would be  keen to help
