I was gutted when they made it the Grand Annual instead of the County Hurdle. That was the finest get out stakes of any meeting in the world. I recall Guard Duty sneaking into 5th and 6th 2 years in a row with Bookie concessions and massive early prices saving the Festival twice. Also my biggest ever bet in a handicap on Psycho having been there for Denmans Gold Cup

Not really any chance of this happening although if they cut down on the dross...................and went back to 3 days,I would be all for it.

no chance of it reverting to 3 days ,more chance of it being extended if anything ...........money talks !

Great idea and one I agree with...sadly the next time the Gold Cup schedule moves it will be to 3.45pm on a Saturday

i went to the monday grand national it was a strange feeling having no race after the national,on a different note when we had the golden goal in euro 96 the feeling when germany scored to win the final then that was it was also strange.
