Sabin Du Loir - off the track for a solid four years, before returning to a similar (if not better) level. The level of form comparison is debatable, as he was unbeaten in 5 as a 4yo hurdler, side-stepping the Triumph Hurdle for the Sun Alliance instead, where he beat his elders, including the likes of Dawn Run & West Tip, at the huge odds of 16/1!  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEm1KHU9E9A - enjoy  |

Delius is the best example I can think of.
Sabin du Loir another - good shout Foetus. West Tip got hit by a lorry when it was young as I recall. Moorcroft Boy broke its neck before winning Scottish or Welsh National forget which. |

Even though he didn't win, I'd say Albertas Run's run in this years Ryanair is up there as one of his best performances, against a top quality field after about 6 months off

theres injury and injury the only two mentioned so far that i would count are sabin du loir and delius,both of course trained by the dickensons before coming back with other yards.
