I like overturn for the arkle too..any ideas anyone?

If he was mine, i would stick to hurdles and top class flat races. Why risk him over fences?

That's a good question Sageform and Ihad a similar thought. It's presumably about opportunities - he's currently 8 so likely to start declining as a hurdler. He's rated 112 on the flat so not well handicapped and (probably) not good enough to take top staying Group races (though competetive for weak ones). He has npthing to prove in either of these disciplines - but he might well pick up a top novice chase or two.

Also, if he's ever going to try chasing they can't wait much longer.

I see oddschecker has introduced Overturn in the markets at 12-1 2nd fav behind Simonsig. No sign of Oscar Whisky who I'd imagine would be shorter.

Favourites: Simonsig (10/3) , Oscar Whisky (6) , Overturn (12) , Captain Conan (14) , Montbazon (14) , Oscars Well (14) , Cinders And Ashes (16) , Allure Of Illusion (20) , Arvika Ligeonniere (20) , Colour Squadron (20) , Tetlami (20) , Galileos Choice (25) , Trifolium (25) , Vulcanite (40) Oddschecker must be reading my posts - Oscar Whiskey and Overturn enter the picture. Proof if any were needed that Howdi moves markets ![]() |

10/3 and 6/1 ffs
This time last year Champion Hurdle runner up Peddler's Cross was 8/1, Supreme winner Al Ferof was about 10s and the winner was about 12-14/1! |

agree with above post although in bookies had there conkers done in RSA where all the fancied horses pre season where there in March
Grand Crus (about 8s pre seson) Bobs Worth (10) First Lieutenant (12) Surprised this wasnt mentioned more last season. |

Either of them could easily end up in the Jewson, so its a no no for me at the moment.
Of the top 3 in the market, I'd be surprised if all 3 were in the Arkle line up on the day |
|
By:
I can see them in the Jewson as well - OW because he's in the same yard as Simonsig and Overturn because of what happened with Peddlers Cross/Sprinter Sacre. Both will surely get 2 1/2m over fences.
