Seemingly if Kauto Star runs again he's going to die.
Why do racing people always react like this. When he was pulled up at Punchestown it was the same old story, How lucky we were that it didn't end in tragedy!!!
Unfortunately horses die on the racetrack but what are the reasons behind most fatalities, usually its as a result of a broken leg.
Most deaths are in NO way age related, so why the clamour for Kauto to be retired, He was pulled up in the Gold Cup after winning the King George and beating the third and fourth out of sight.
If they decide to retire him good and well, and I do believe they will do what they feel is right for the horse but it could just be a case of him pulling some muscles in the race and he'll be fine in 3 or 4 weeks.
If he's ok, why not go for the Betfair chace and a possible sixth King George.
