Wasnt helped by the awful ride Ruby gave him. It seemed to favour being ridden prominently all week, and having shown how to ride a 3m race on Big Bucks, it was bizarre that he didnt use the same tactics on this one.
Think he thought he was on Pegasus as usual. Agree he was tired at the last and didnt quicken, but used all his energy closing the leader down. Hats off to the winner, he was as gutsy as you like, but Ruby's worst ride of the week for me. |

spot on.why do people never say anything when he does this.

Anyone that can read a race can see it was a poor ride. He's an idle horse and only does what's asked of him. I Don't know why Ruby held him up off the pace so far back. Super horse and it was nothing to do with the ground. He made up a huge amount of ground but the simple fact was the winner wasn't stopping. Great performance by the winner but BB had v little chance.

ruby has gotten too wealthy, and a tad arrogant thats the prob. plenty of lesser (paid) jockeys wud have snapped the ride up and won on it.

the big bucks ride should have been the model all week |
