Won the Lexus on good ground going away from Rubi Light over 3m
They are very quiet about it .... will the gamble start?
Report FOYLESWAR March 15, 2012 9:26 PM GMT
just watched his welsh nat win and his lexus and a hurdle at haydock he finishes off  his races like a train ive gone in again at 12 s
Report FOYLESWAR March 15, 2012 9:55 PM GMT
think synchronised  has slipped under the radar ,a lot of people judge him on his win in the mud in the 4 miler at uttoxeter a few seasons back they have it in thier minds he is just a plodder ,think he might  prove that theory wrong tommorow ...
Report ShannonSpray March 15, 2012 10:08 PM GMT
I backed him earlier this evening at 5/1 e/w without the top 2. I reckon it's great value too.

I will be having Synchronised e/w.

I've fancied him for ages to run a big race in this.

I think the going will be fine for him.
Report Colonel Sanders March 15, 2012 10:39 PM GMT
I had a small bet at 6/1 each way w/o the big 2. Missed the 13/2 alas
Report craicneasy March 15, 2012 10:50 PM GMT

just a number on a page mate, which I interpret as speed - does not make it so - but it is how I come to betting decisions

and this one is second bottom on my list of speed ratings
Report geoff m March 15, 2012 11:15 PM GMT
plodder.
might have won on good but beat a non stayer in Ireland looked in trouble with 3 to jump then race fell in his lap
shocking price.
Would rather be on something like Diamond Harry @ a price(outside the top 2) that has some class & beat Burton Port both over fences & hurdles.
Report thieveslikeus March 15, 2012 11:20 PM GMT
Judo, every chase over 2m 3f+ at Leopardstown has appeared to be ridiculously slow this season.  Either they have changed the layout or remeasured or something?  Topspeed hasn't had chance to update the standard times yet, you cannot rely on speed ratings there this season.

This quote from mccoy during the whip debacle always worries me..

One of the best rides I’ve ever given a horse was Synchronised in the Midlands Grand National at Uttoxeter when he was off the bridle all the way. He is one of the most genuine horses I’ve ever ridden but he needed galvanising. I’d like to think most people thought it a good ride. I wasn’t given a ban because he kept responding but under the new rules I’d have no chance and he’ll struggle now.
Report Eeternaloptimist March 15, 2012 11:31 PM GMT
Looked like a bit of a slow coach for much of the race last time and his jumping wasn't all that. I think he may get taken off his feet tomorrow and his jumping may suffer. I also don't like the way he seems to dip on landing at many of his fences. If he does that at a downhill jump then down he goes.

Which probably means he will win doing handstands but not for me.
Report judorick March 15, 2012 11:34 PM GMT
wasnt only talking about the leopardstown race thanks very much thieves, in fact I didn't even mention it
Report thieveslikeus March 15, 2012 11:40 PM GMT
That's a key trial race though judo and the race where synchronised showed improved form.  Don't forget, every winner of the CGC since 1998 has run in either the King George or the Lexus...

Couldn't catch a cold. Laugh
Report pedrobob March 15, 2012 11:46 PM GMT
the Lexus was 3 seconds slower than Last Instalment's novice chase on the card, so would suspect that it was way below normal Grade 1 status as far as timefigures are concerned, even though Last Instalment a very good horse

Synchronised has earned better figures in the "Nationals"

Perversely, the Lexus seems to show Synchronised has suddenly developed some speed from somewhere to put daylight between himself and the others from the last
Report geoff m March 15, 2012 11:48 PM GMT
He was struggling 3 out in the lexus then race fell apart & he seemed to fly up the run in but against a very dubious "stayer" in Rubi Light
Report Eeternaloptimist March 16, 2012 2:09 AM GMT
My thoughts exactly. Would have needed bottomless ground to win a gold cup in my view.
Report judorick March 16, 2012 12:59 PM GMT
lots of money for this on betfair and the firms... has to be significant

still can't have it myself but market signals extremely positive
Report judorick March 16, 2012 1:12 PM GMT
ah Pricewised

forget that then, thought it was JP steaming in
Report geoff m March 16, 2012 1:55 PM GMT
did some sectionals  re his ireland run
whilst he appeared to finish like a train from 2nd last he was bang on same time as novice last instalment who had also run the full trip a good deal quicker .
I think if it was soft then clearly the emphasis would be stamina & you could say he would be a 12 /14 to 1 shot but on what is  good ground he aint no 8/1 shot  imo.
Report thieveslikeus March 16, 2012 2:10 PM GMT
Novice Last Instalment was in the process of slaughtering the RSA runner up so possibly is very, very good.   Like I've said before, what if  he was a 3 mile good ground horse all along and able to win longer distance races on slow ground because he was just different class?  By Saddlers Wells out of a Bob Back mare it is certainly not impossible.  Also easy to forget that he has only had 8 chase runs and could still be progressive.

Well happy Foyles, had quite a bit ante post on BP but put twice as much on Synch last night and this morning, it being bloody pricewise didn't help  though, didn't see that coming.  After a bad first day have pulled it round and well ahead now.  Small bet to come on Bourne then quite a decent one on Slieveardagh in the last, anything extra now is a bonus though.
