...for the comment he made after Denis O'Regan was unseated from Cotton Mill.

I can't quite remember his exact words but he seemed to suggest that it wouldn't have happened with Jack Quinlan riding.

Denis O' Regan had no chance of staying on . And anyway, even if Francome had a valid point, his comment was very unkind and totally out of order, especially live on air.

It's been bugging me ever since he said it.

John Francome should think before he speaks.

he was not having a pop at Denis, just saying that the lad was doing fine on the horse and the idiot owners/trainer should not have jocked him off just as it was the festival

Oh right, I didn't realise that. I'm probably not the only one who took Francome's commment the wrong way.

It's not bugging me now, so thanks.

Am now annoyed with Cotton Mill's owners.

I thought Francome was out of order. Surely you pick Geraghty or O'Regan over J Quinlan? He has given the lad a great opportunity but he's clearly not top class yet and at Chelt you need everything going for you.

possibly, but now that it has all gone wrong, you have to ask yourself, would the horse have refused with jack on board? we will never know
