Favourite has won slowly run races, travels like a dream and obviously has class but i always like to take on bridle merchants at Cheltenham. In answer to your question yes i expect Monksland to win well provided Carberry gets it right. The horse is unbeaten under rules and looks to have everything you want for this race, travels, quickens and stays. I think the Irish novice form over middle distances has still yet to be testd. Monksland has looked the real do so far.

I also don't think the Supreme form is worth a jot. Fully expect those behind the winner to progress further next season, stop start gallop, some questionable rides by jockeys caught napping/played their hands too early, wouldn't dismiss the Irish novice hurdlers like Monksland and Boston Bob based on that race today. Just my opinion.
