Well Hurricane Fly arguably the only one which hasn't given its true running from his 6 runners so far
Where did you read it? |
|
By:
Cannot remember but thought Hurricane fly was extremely poor beaten a long way out and after seeing the price drift on uncle junior quite considerably and then also beaten was maybe wondering if there was some truth to the story

How come Scotsirish didn't double in price then?
|

By:
I noticed that and did not actually see what happened to that horse in the race as i was on Uncle Junior now just thinking of laying Quevega on what i have seen so far

What was Willie's verdict on the 'gr8' Hurricane?
The big lump of dogmeat that's all I'd term him. I'm on him since January (January) and Mullins had days weeks to find out about the going, the ground and so on... What 'excuse' what put up by Ruby and Willie for that pathetic showing for that's what it was? And then we were supposed to lump onto Quevaga after we witnessing Uncle Junior + the Fly flopping, money-on after the 1st two flopping............ Do we await Punchestown now to get our money back - my arsse as Jim Royle says. I'm finished with Hurricane. |

With such a considered analysis, I think it's fair to surmise that this fella has the game by the balls ![]() |

Willie Mullins' trainer of dethroned champion Hurricane Fly, said: "He seems fine afterwards. Ruby thought they went quick enough and he's maybe disappointed us today.
"I thought coming up the far side he should have been able to move up quite easily one or two places to be in better order coming down the hill, and he didn't do that. "He didn't fire when Ruby wanted to kick off the hill and get back into the race. "He quickened up to get back in the race going to the last, but that was his race run. "I thought he was going to be tailed off, then he got back into the race to give me hope, but clearly that was too much effort. "He'd done everything right at home. We'd had a trouble-free run and the ground is no excuse. "He was beaten by two better horses on the day. "We knew this day was going to come. You can't keep winning. "Maybe he just didn't fire and something will come to light next week. "I'm disappointed but we live to fight another day and we'll go ahead to Punchestown I think. We still have a horse and we'll have other days, I hope." Walsh added: "He was beaten too far out. He hit the first coming down the hill and I knew I wouldn't get any closer." Tony McCoy said of Binocular: "He was flat out a long way out." |

'We'll go ahead to Punchestown....' Christ almighty! He'll go ahead to bloomin' Kildare and off he goes but I wont be waiting on him...
The next time I'll back that nag is at Longford, Harolds X or Shelbourne Park, he'll be inside a greyhound's stomach as dogmeat! The funny thing I'm a net gainer out of his loss, I've had him in bets all through and was able to lay him here as him winning would have set me up nicely on multiple bets so I was still able (I could afford to) to lay him here and be UP if he lost. But I'd some lovely multiple bets lined up, relying on Hurricane - I thought he was a blinkin' cert in a string of bets. |

Mullins horses have not been right for a month.
Are Ya Right Chief beaten in mid Feb at odds on and was tested. Race result publicly states clinicly abnormal. Quevega had 24lbs in hand on 2nd so did not need to be fully wound up. |
