Surely he's slightly overpriced in the opener?
Was going better than Montabazon at Newbury the last day when he came down. Conditions should be ideal, a group 1 winner all but in name basically. Strong pace should suit him, took a bit of a hold at Newbury. He did jump very well apart from 2 out, was a funny old fall also.
16/1 I think is a very good price, in what is a nightmare betting heat.
Also feel Distant Memories could be overpriced at 50/1, heavy ground wouldn't have suited at all last time out. Very classy on the flat, quick ground and a decent clip should improve him. Could well out run his odds

Wouldn't disagree with you. Question marks over the quick ground with a few of these, he certainly wont mind it. 114 rated flat horse, so should love the strong gallop...
Yep,classy on the flat,been by Falbrav good ground is a must,was a messy race lto behind Midnight game,clattered 2 out and lost his chance there,wide open race tomorrrow,im happy to side with him

I made my selections on thsi race earlier and concluded in a very open one Colour Squadron screams value. He has beaten Mountbazen once, nothing in them in the Newbury betting and for my money had his measure when toppling over. Now he is nearly 2x the price? It makes no sense.
So I have backed CS + Tetlami (done nothing wrong and improving all the time) & a small flyer on Hazy Tom. Looked v promising early on, 2 poor runs at Ascot going the wrong way round for him. If you forget those 50/1 is not a bad little punt.

the only reason you shpuld back cs is because mcmanus has now bought him but vulcanite e/w is bet of the week for me
