Funniest bit is when Mick Fitz has obviously had enough of Thompson's b*llshit for the day by the time of the Gold Cup preview and tells him off for saying Kauto will need to be 110% to run.

The bit where fitzy is saying rubi light needs soft ground and its paramount to its chances

Then THOMPSON asks him would you back it if the ground was good - fitzy says no

THOMPSON then replies quickly " why not ? "

Thompson is a clown throughout the whole performance.  Keeps asking why aren't you lumping on xxxx odds-on jollie despite being repeatedly told those kind of prices are best just completely avoided at the festival given their poor win to runs record

It's puzzling that Derek Thomson doesn't impress in these preview videos.  As far as I was aware he runs a very successful telephone tipping service.
