Last year, someone put me on to a Cheltenham Festival Preview document that was written by someone who worked for a City institution (bank, brokerage or insurance company) of some kind. Think he does it every year and it's quite well known. Also think it might have been available on the corporate website.

I'm trying to get my hands on it again, as it made for good reading on the trip down to Cheltenham.

Does this ring a bell with anyone. Would appreciate it if you were able to point me in the right direction. Apologies for being necessarily vague. Grin

Daniel Watkins was previously with RBS as Head of Bank Solutions for Europe, in which role he worked on a number of capital adequacy and stress-testing assignments including a range of "bad bank" discussions, as well as helping to advise clients on problematic structured credit portfolios.
Before that, Dan spent several years with ABN AMRO, where most recently he was Global Head of Portfolio Management Control with a particular focus on accounting and regulatory advice, including liaison with the Dutch Central Bank.
Dan has a B.A. in Banking & Finance from Birmingham University and is an ICAEW qualified chartered accountant.
