I'm on e/w @ 11/1.

I think he has more than a squeak. Very good record at Cheltenham and a festival winner. High rated hurdler which fits the profile of an Arkle winner.

The concern is his jumping, however there is a school of thought who feel that a faster pace in a (slightly) bigger field will actually assist him. He will not have time to ponder his fences which is his problem IMO. He's also spent some time with Yogi Breisner (along with Captain Chris) who has a good record of correcting bad jumping habits.

If it is in with a chance in the run in, there aren't many who will be travelling better

cheers glossy my thoughts exactly. im on at 14s each way. im just worried as its looking to be a small field maybe the pace will not be as fast as everyone anticipates.

Cue Card will take up the running to ensure the pace is genuine, Tizzard has said as much.

Whilst the race is cutting up, it won't be anything like the fields of 3 that have seen Menorah make his worst jumping errors.

It definitely has a squeak. The way the race is cutting up, as long as he stays on his feet, he surely can't be far off the places.

I'm on this one.  Think given the course form and the lack of strength in depth in the race he is more than a good chance of at least a place.

Imo he doesnt ponder his fences , he has exactly the right attitude but seemingly little brain , rythmic jumping would be fine which means adjusting your stride to a similar take off point which hopefully , as you say YB has worked on . He has all the other attributes . Not sure CC can jump quick enough to lead this lot .
