the interesting thing about this horse imo is that it's very unTwister-like to keep one back to preserve the hcp mark...given how badly Arkle has cut up, tho, prudent to keep him engaged in case SS trods on a stone etc sunday morning!

Sam Twiston Davies was on ATR yesterday talking about Astracads chance in The Grand Annual- there was no mention of The Arkle. His dad also said that he's his best chance of a winner all week in The GA.

before we totally rule it out I remember Our Arnmageddon finishing nowhere in the Arkle and coming back two days later to win the Cathcart

Already mentioned Sound Reveille - in front when blundered weakened quickly and pulled up in Klairon Davis's Arkle, won Grand Annual 2 days later.
