I backed him 3 weeks ago for the novice chase on Tuesday. He's been shortening the last 48 hrs....

I did hear his trainer wasnt keen on taking him a week ago but that might have changed?

Trainer mentioned Aintree or Punches, but that was before the weights came out for Cheltenham. Now he has 10st 2lb in the GA I can't see them not turning that down.
2 miles will suit him better than the 2m4f I think, and he has a big weight in that.

Jp has Kid Cassidy and Bellvano in the Grand annual so I think he may go for the 2m4f handicap nov chase.

its halved in price for the novice on the tuesday, bare in mind that 6lbs usually seperates the whole field in the novice event for which he,s nicely weighted
