I was wondering exactly the same thing as he's got a reasonable chance of being third best on the day.
I've said this several times before, but with the doubts about Long Run's jumping, and now with Kauto Star's well-being, there is a squeak of a Norton's Coin result astonishing everyone.
He happens to be a huge winner for me, so I certainly hope he makes the line up.

I'll never understand why the handicapper is so kind to some horses and ruthless with others.
Dropped 3lb for comfortably beating The Giant Bolster (who himself hosed up next time) for his only subsequent run, though that was a disappointment.
The runner-up at Newbury (TGB) would have to overturn an easy beating on 7lb worse terms!

this horse has been over rated by the trainer for a long time
still his best victory is in a Listed Handicap Hurdle off 138 or something
no hoper in the Gold Cup
