Quite a significant drift for a supposedly 'bomb proof' horse.
Something up at the Mullins yard? Would explain the big weakness in Scotsirish's price too?

Well you'll get the arbers on here filling their boots so I'm going to stick a pile up at 2.12 as Hills will probs only lay a nifty at 5-4 so may as well get piling in before it goes back to 1.9 !

You can get a lot of money on in 15 minutes if you live in an area with plenty of Hills shops ! I reckon they will hold it til midday up to £100 per customer. But we will see.

Hmmm. just popped out to pick up the takeaway and now the price is back to 1.9.
Thanks for the info.
I've got half a chunk on the antepost and was gonna put the other half on on the day, but if the Hills offer is 5/4 NRNB then I'll prob try load up now with them. Anything above evens is value to me!

Yeah seems to explain the drift. It looked like there was money being done at 1.85 earlier on account of the ground conditions. These ante post markets are volatile especially with the forum rumour mill to oil the wheels. Am going to be trying to get on Hurricane fly tomorrow asap

You'll prob get near evens on the day, I still would prefer the insurance **** give with their money back if horse comes 2nd as it's next to impossible to see fly coming 3rd.

Done some doubles as already on 9/4 Nr No Bet The Hurricane , with Darlan, Sizing Europe and Ocar Whisky. Expect at least one double to gain some reward.

Offer been pulled now. Assume they have filled their boots with as much HF laying as they could handle. Managed to get £100 through my online account, went into a shop at 1.30pm and it had been taken down. Should harden up now until the next firm takes it on.

anything not quite right here ! seems a lot of firms want to get the fly and taking shedloads on him it seems ,bookies not usually known for giving away free money ,do they know something we dont, or is it just the bookmakers wanting to give some back to punters !

totally agree foyleswar but coulding resist going in at 5-4! but with nrnb think its a no brainer because theres no way in hell willie will not let him take his chance if he's not 100% right!

Bookies have always taken on good things at Cheltenham, it's up to the punter to figure out which one to back and which to avoid. Hopefully this is one they have got wrong.

Deary me. 5/4, is an awful price about one of the biggest hype horses I've seen in my years following the horses. Has beaten nothing but handicappers (with the exception of Peddlers who was found to be off) and has only won on flat tracks. Has a large number of significant trends to overcome and has found nothing off the bridle whenever he's been asked - and he certainly will be asked a week tomorrow.
No wonder the bookies are taking turns to take him on. Who will be next?!

Horses Hurricane Fly has beaten that have won Grade1 races Solwhit x6, 1000 stars x2, Binocular x4, Unnacompanied x2, Oscars Well x2, Oscar Whiskey x1, Menorah x1, Peddlers x2, Dunguib x2, Kyber Kim x1 ... and probably more but thats enough to make the point
Won't even go into the Bridle argument, he finds plenty - idels in front.
Where did he win his champion hurdle last year? Which flat track?

Sorry, the post related to Sprinter Sacre - was reading the thread about the 5/4 on offer and forgot I'd switched threads.
My most sincere apologies to all involved

5-4 gone ages ago especially now as peddlers doesnt run! had nice bet at 2's today so can lay bet off and still have free bet at evens! cant lose! think he'll romp though!

I think we spoke briefly about it last night. The favourites trend is one but the more significant stat relates to the hurdles rating of the Arkle winning profile. He has a few in front of him in that respect.

I see Cue Card running a very aggressive race to try and catch SS at it coming up the hill. The increased pace helps Menorah and he jumps better than ever. They come up the hill with Cue Card just in front but then fades quickly. SS is level but off the bridle and finds very little. Menorah stays on in the last furlong and wins by a couple of lengths.

Yes I've seen his jumping thanks. There's a school of thought that feel the faster pace and bigger field may actually improve it though. Less time to think and ponder his fences - it happens. That coupled with the time spent with Yogi could definitely improve him. It's a horse that does well at Cheltenham, has genuine 2m speed comes up the hill and should be written off at your peril.
