I dont have the stats Midas but how many 7 year olds were beaten favourites in the race. If you tell me that there were 8 or 10 in the last 20 years then I would pay attention to that. I can tell you that if Boston Bob is beaten in the Neptune it will not be because he is 7 years old.

Very few fancied 7yo in the race in recent years, possibly less runners of that age since the introduction of the Albert? Pretty sure French Holly was the last 7yo to be favourite.
