I like both of these but have a feeling they are both shorter than they should be.
Big Easy won with more in hand than the verdict at Bangor but this will be a big step up in a short space of time and there is also a question mark about him getting a run.
I appreciate there will be a relatively small weight range in the novices handicap but I still think Hunt Ball would have a better chance racing against more exposed types in the Plate. Jockey a big factor as well - would you want 10/1 if Schofield is riding?
I like Hunt Ball for the Plate, be nice to have a good 'un for that race, not many of the decent progressive/novice types that I specialise in backing seem to have run in the race in recent years, thanks to the novice handicap being introduced. Don't see Big Easy getting a run in either of his entries off that mark, even if he runs and wins tomorrow and gets a penalty I think he'll be struggling.
