Maybe Davy Russell told Choc that the horse was staying in Ireland

Davy Said this evening he might need soft ground
Report Tascro March 1, 2012 11:15 AM GMT
i hope thats all it is. thought byrnes said he will improve on good ground.

He may very well do Tascro,i reckon Davy will side with Midnight Game if the ground is proper good ground

Not sure why,but 26 on here is far too big for a horse with arguably the best form.
Have to have some of that i think.

Agree Buddilea way way to big.  I was planning to back hiim on the day but can't not back him at the price he is tonight.  Quotes all year were he would improve for better ground so no real excuses for not lining up - it will NOT be fast ground especially in the first race of the meeting.

I just wonder whether he is a bit exposed with seven hurdles under his belt, but 29 is worth a few quid to top-up my 14/1 ante-post voucher I suppose (Cost-Averaging!!).

Is there any real danger of him not running do you think?.... 'cos this is an almighty drift I think you would agreeSurprised

It is a drift but now risking half the stake to win the same as I had hoped so have weighed it up as worth the risk.  Has to be a chance it's not coming over given the weakness on here but that hasn't been hinted at so far.  Ground concerns were raised but latest forecasts seem to indicate a fair bit of rain about in the run up now so the fast ground worries (which never existed imo) must be receeding by the day.

I accept he has won three times over timber, but do you reckon having seven runs over hurdles is the typical profile of a Supreme winner?

Doesn't worry me in the slightest.  Im sure Go Native and Menorah had plenty runs before their victories.  Experience is no bad thing in what is sure to be the usual helter skelter of a race.  I'm not saying he's my first choice in this and I intend to have 3 or 4 covered come race time but the price on here is not a true reflection on his chances and he is bound to be shorter assuming he turns up on the day.
