Failing that mate, you can order the festival guide and the ultimate weekender for £11.48 which are posted out on March 1st. 01933 304858 quote FBCHJ12

Tony - I just got the same e-mail. P I S S E D me right off. Wot good a book you want to digest before the event if you dont get it till after. Hopeless. Is it just Amazon that will be late or is the hold up with the publisher?

Are you talking about the RP book or the Paul Jones one?

If Paul Jones, try Weatherbys shop.

just tried wh smith its not in stock there.so i think the best option is to order it with the ultimate weekender which as 180 has said gets posted out on the 1st march. like u say willie u need a good couple of weeks to sift through the info.

I've just ordered it through the Racing Post. Click on "Shop" then "Bookshop" then "Cheltenham Festival 2012"

Normally you'd expect Amazon to be a couple of days behind (in return for the discount) but I've not heard of anyone getting theirs direct from the Racing Post yet, so we may have to chalk another one up to the Post's ramshackle organisation.

Probably this is the one time of the year everyone tries to order the same book at the same time from the Racing Post and the extra staff needed to deal with it were made redundant in the efficiency drive before last.

I have had the weatherbys one and the racing post one year after year but now I just print off the atr trends on the megasite....free and in my opinion better than the other 2.

Not sure how the ATR trends are better than the Weatherbys book given that they are both by Paul Jones!

I do agree with the general sentiment though as I found the book a little bit of a waste last year with 90% of the same info is on the ATR website for free

The thing is, it will point you to a winner but will also put you off a winner.

I buy it most years but you should always go with your own gut feeling. win, lose or draw imo.

If you are buying the Festival Guide from the Wetherbys site then use the promo code SUN and you will get a Fiver off.

Makes it only £9.95 with a tenner free bet with SJ

Mine is due for delivery on the 29th, but I am wary as pre-ordered the Aintree/Punchestown guide last year and that wasn't going to be delivered till after the GN!

Always late every year thru Wetherbys for some reason.

The Paul Jones one was being sold at Towcester yesterday and looks decent.

I've also got the delayed message for the RP one from Amazon, so have got that instead. Through Weatherbys with the promotional code kindly provided above it's only a tenner including a tenner free SJ bet which is an excellent deal.

The distribution issues with the RP book should increase the sales of the Paul Jones ones!

It goes through the major players for each race, a safe assumption is that these are the shortlisted horses.

For real lazy fookers you can pay the 6 quid or whatever it is and have the shortlist text to you every day (previous evening) - he did shortlist 13 of 27 but remember that he recommends 3/4/5 in each race so for a level stakes player the P/L won't have been huge...

The shortlists are the emailed/texted info sent the night before the races at extra cost.

If anyone wants to give me £6 I'll e-mail/text you 3-5 selections per race in a shortlist the night before...reckon I'd be just as good !

He is pretty good, he definitely pulled Zemsky, Holmwood Legend, Al Ferof last year, and at 33s, 25s and 10s he won't have finished the week in the red....
