Dont know if this has been posted already but on ATR whilst interviewing Chocolate T ,Matt Chapman said Alan King told him at the grand national meal that VENDOR WAS A STONE WELL IN (FRED WINTER)Choc replied along the lines of thats no for me to say and that they are trying to keep on top of him till the day giving the impression the horse is bubbling ready
By:
was told a few weeks ago that some old boy who has horses with king had £100 e.w vendor,he is normally a tenner max man.see its less than 5s on here, nevermind these "good things" in handicaps have a habit of coming unstuck.
By:
yes a bump a faller in front hampering anything can happen all the young improving horses
By:
Very interested to see Asaid's mark after today's win. Had very small e/w at 20s at this stage
By:
Vendor may well be a bloody good horse but it will end up beaten by something with form figures of 591 that won a 2k race at Fontwell or somewhere and that carries a featherweight.
Clarion Call at 33/1 will do for me. |

His Excellency for me

Quoted on his website, Webber said: "Lemon Drop Red winning at Southwell was highly satisfactory. He not onlyneeded the run, after being restricted to cantering by the cold weather in his lead up to the race, but he was also dropped 2lb for winning! This should leave him on a lovely mark for the Fred Winter at Cheltenham."
A general 20-1 chance for the festival handicap, Lemon Drop Red showed a decent level of form on the Flat for previous trainer Ed Dunlop and was getting off the mark at the third time of asking over hurdles at Southwell. On his debut for Webber, Lemon Drop Red finished second to Triumph Hurdle-bound Ranjaan at Kempton before finishing fourth as the odds-on favourite at Musselburgh in January. On his latest run he recorded a short-head verdict over Little Fritz. Just had the 3 runs to get a mark and lost first 2 (good stats) and looks a decent bet at 25s EW |

Argocat, George Woolf, Lemon Drop Red and Un Guet Apens would be of interest as well This is the one, I believe |
By:
Un Guet Apens injured and misses the race
By:
What? John Morris reported him fit and well, raring to go at last night's preview meeting.
By:
Argocat if travelling.
By:
saw it on Twitter today marychain

cheers mate, gutted about that.

Every trainer in the race fancies their chances. Royal Bonsai won a Grade 2 lto and is off 126, at 20/1.
Fred Winter is no race to be backing a shorty. |

FRED WINTER JUVENILE HANDCIAP HURDLE
Paul Nicholls - Hinterland will probably run. Ruby told me he overdid the waiting tactics last time saying it wasn’t his best ride. He is still on the same mark. He’ll have a big weight but is built to carry it. He is not as well handicapped as when Sanctuaire won it but good enough to win off his mark. Ulck Du Lin def runs didn't want to ruin his mark. David Pipe - Mentions Kazlian for the Fred Winter needs to brush up jumping. 130 is ok in his opinion but won 2 poor races. Hopeful. Kevin O’Ryan - Vendor of Alan King’s for the Fred Winter but that’s no news anymore. Willie Mullins - Ut De Sivola Not much experience. (also entered in Triumph) Vendor (7/2) , Hinterland (8) , Ulck Du Lin (8) , Baby Mix (12) , Kazlian (12) , Edeymi (14) , Countrywide Flame (16) , Kapga De Cerisy (16) , One Lucky Lady (16) , Ut De Sivola (16) , Secret Edge (18) , Ardlui (20) , Argocat (20) , Asaid (20) , Bat Masterson (20) , Discoteca (20) , Eagle Rock (20) , Fire Fighter (20) , His Excellency (20) , Hisaabaat (20) - Others 20 or more |
By:
Does anyone know if Bat Masterson is running in this, I see he is entered for the weekend which isn't a good sign to me. I like his form and his rating is ok. I took 20/1 NRNB but i'd like to see him run.
By:
If Hinterland runs it'll probably be in the Supreme
By:
timeform have vendor 11 points clear in their ratings! very unusual for a festival handicap.
By:
Bat Masterson doesn't run,Meade thinks weight's too big for such a small horse
By:
Thanks Snorlax, Good job it was NRNB back to the drawing board then.

I think Gorgeous Sixty is going to improve a great deal on what's she's shown to-date with the prospect of better ground.
