I had early season thoughts of Third Intention for this after his run in the Greatwood; lost all faith now to be honest so expect him to run well!

can't have done its handicap mark much good after winning today?

I've always liked this horse since I saw him win on debut at Newbury and I backed him for the Betfair a couple of weeks ago. I wonder if he's blown a workable handicap mark today? I think he might go up to around 155, which would put him in that awkward position of being too high in the weights for decent handicap hurdles but not good enough for quality graded races.

Orsippus has solid festival form, still on same mark as when 3rd last year and has run very nice trials last 2 runs. Each way chance at 33s.

Module fits a whole bunch of trends to keep the Betting Guide onanists happy, plus he's won at Cheltenham, in a fast time, over shorter (which, perversely, is a good sign) in a big-field handicap. Is young and unexposed and whilst 14/1 isn't a sexy price it'll do for me.

Oh and his trainer knows the time of day too

Where will the cut off be - some nice horses low in the handicap but am really worried as to whether anything under 10 st 6 lb is going to get a run - will need half of the entries above them in the weights to pull out ....realistic?

The only consolation I can offer is that sometimes the most promising AP books tend to prove worthless while those you carry into the festival with little hope can occasionally exceed expectations.

In my case I have laid out 40 points this year. Module takes 4 of those out, another 3 go west if SDC goes for the RSA Chase, Boston Bob lining up anywhere but the Neptune wipes off another 2 out and I fear greatly for my two biggest bets Brindisi Breeze (5) and Urbain de Sivola (another 5) even showing up. All in all a pretty poor attempt

But where will the cut off be - I like Dare Me but will he get in - he is number 70 on the list of entries.

Saphir River at 33/1 looks a decent bet to me.  Connections paid a lot of money for this Grade 1 runner up in France.  Not saying he will definitely win as it is trained by Michael Scudamore, but if it was a Nicholls horse it would be one of the favourites.
