Qualification for entry in the Foxhunter Chase is based on a horse's previous performances in certain types of race within a specific period. To be eligible a horse must have finished first or second twice in hunter chases, or have won two open point-to-point races, or have won one open point-to-point race and finished first or second in a hunter chase.

I found that online, and there doesn't seem to be much information elsewhere on the conditions - hope it's useful to you.

Looking through the entries for this brings back some good memories.

Cork All Star winning the bumper and going off almost joint fav for the Supreme, Billyvodan going really close in the Ryanair, Cloudy Lane going off fav for the National, Chapoturgen hosing up as the Handicap good thing and watching Racing Demon jumping 1 yard forward and 6 yards right.

Good times Happy
