I am firmly in the Sprinter Sacre camp and all the fans of Peddlers and Al Ferof are confident that their horses will outstay him up the hill etc...
However in the CH hurdle last year Maguire hit Peddlers around 11 times before the last hurdle and then was at him again all the way to the line... ( haven't checked but assume a similar story with Al Ferof in The Supreme )..
Does anyone think that the new whip rules make much difference to their speed / ability to come up the hill....??

Al Ferof was about 14 smacks in the Supreme I believe SS had one. Peddlers also given quite a few smacks in the Champ Hurdle but I haven't counted. New rules certainly not gna trouble our fella but I hope it doesn't have a bearing on the result. The whip rule needs sorting out tbh because it should be all about a horse giving 100% within reason. Whether it's 1 or 14 slaps all horses are different and some respond more than others.
