Champion Hurdle - Monsignor

Triumph Hurdle/County Hurdle/Albert Bartlett/Gold Cup/Foxhunters/Martin Pipe/Grand Annual - Arkle

I can't see Mark Pitman's stable star getting beat, in what promises to be a one horse affair.

As for Arkle, I am confident he can win all 7 races on the final day of this year's festival all under top weight and ridden by an inexperienced but lighter than usual Dawn French.

The double pays 5/2.

Get on!

Isn't Monsignor out injured?

No way - felt confident he was on the comeback trail and entered up.

Will have to re-check, but thanks for the nod.

Monsignor has apparently broken both legs, but Pitman says of his stable star 'It's just a minor setback. As far as we're concerned, he will run in plaster casts if needs be. He is a serious race horse who the public deserve to see line up in the Champion Hurdle - we are hopeful as always'. Pitman's mother Jenny added 'He is a beautiful animal with endless potential - I am sure he will turn up come March and can win under Grand National winning jockey John White'.
