At the start of the season he was amongst the favourites for both novice hurdles. I had hoped he would return and take his chance in the Champion Bumper. No recent entries would suggest that isn't going to happen. Is it a case of the horse being out for the season and trainer not bothering tell anyone?

he bombed out in a bumper at aintree early this season...i had bought all the hype concerning the horse, stories like prior to his first run at fontwell he had worked with, and beaten cue card twice!!! hasn't been seen for months now.

I know he was very short but I think it is a bit harsh to say he bombed out as he travelled for the most part like the best horse in the race and there were excuses made on the basis of stable form and being struck with another riders whip. I still think the winner represents as good a form as anything if he takes his chance in the Champion Bumper.

With less than four weeks to kick off I think may well be significant he appears in the Ascot entries at the weekend. Given the amount of dead wood currently circulating at the head of the Festival market if they can get a win anywhere that current 40/1 quote will not last. You don't need much on at that price and for me it is a risk worth taking.

Whoosh - there were several horses fancied for that race today and coming back after an absence he has destroyed them. The 20/1 that remains is massive given those at the head of the market.

The horse runs in the name of the Nock's daughters. Mr Nock is quoted in today's Post as saying he will be entered but 'we're not mad keen on bumpers'. Given that he has now run in three bumpers I suppose you can read in to that whatever you want - fact is he has already run in three of them. Not too many people would pass up such a decent winning opportunity. Clearly it would be massive for the stable to win the race two years in three.
