Nicholls is not 100% about running him
|
|

Buena Vista has had a similar prep to last year in terms of Pipe getting his mark down to run off a similar mark to that of last year. With his new mark not being revealed due to the Pertempts cancellation the other day, he looks to be one of the best 20/1 shots I've seen in a while. Pipe will pop a nice claimer on him, probably Mr Ennis/Bellamy.
Couldn't be more excited about the chances of any other horse at this year's festival! |

Not what I've heard SS.
Certainly wont be leaving him out of my plans IC, as I was livid with myself when he did it again last year. But at 11, I'd be surprised if he can come back and do it again. |
|

yeah that is fair. But as you say, the money will be down come the race! Thehillofuisneach looks like he has lots more to come.
have basically given up on barwell bridge but sivola de sivola appeals, shame he is such a short price |

There are a few I like, but none with the scope Sonofvic has. He could well be the RSA winner next year if they sort his jumping out!

Is it just me, or does the race never seem to be won by those with "sexy" profiles anymore. Recent examples include Alfie Sherrin, Chartreux - seems to go to tougher types like Buena Vista and Kayf Aramis etc, seemingly exposed horses. Not suggesting it is a trend or anything, but just sticks in the mind

Sivola de Sivola wins this off current mark 132 if i remember correctly. If not running again that was plan as pointed out on another post on 14s e/w,think it will run big race.
Watch his last race over 2m 1f behind well fancied stable mate over mile too short, preserving his decent mark hopefully. |

Sonofvic went backwards from his debut run behind GC. Would like to see he is still progressing as I couldn't back him after his round of jumping lto. No doubt he has an engine and plenty of ability, PFN speaks very highly of him,but his run last time is quite off putting.
It is a shame the Sandown meeting got abandoned last weekend as he was due to run in the qualfier there. |
|
By:
I would be worried if he was staying over fences Sint, but should be pretty easy to get his confidence back over the smaller obstcales.
Fair point Workforce. |

Can't catch me.....got it from PN twitter page some days ago. Said he had an entry but was not a 100% certainty to run.....do you honestly think his price would be what it is if he was declared as a definate runner??
|
|
By:
SS. I dont know what he is saying on twitter tbh, but my (normally reliable!) moles have been twittering this news to me!
|
|
By:
He is rated 141 over hurdles, got to be plenty to work with there. My one reservation would be that in his last race he didn't look very comfortable on Cheltenham's undulations and I made a mental note he may turn out to be a flat track horse.

Nicholls confirmed Sonofvic for the Pertemps on twitter yesterday.
Had an each way nibble with b365. They are industry best price of 16/1, but now they are NRNB and best odds guranteed on this and every race. Will you be smashing it up CCM? |
|
By:
Tucho. Have already smashed him up mate! I got told when I started the thread this was deffo the plan

Followed Tucho in as has he says top price with nrnb and bog as well seems fair.Hope you win the pot CCM

My moles tell me he did a sparkling piece of work this weekend. As low as 8/1 in places now
![]() The 11/1 available with Hills still looks value. Could well go off fav IMO |
