Dont know what you all think, but Shot From The Hip jumped beautifully and was given a very tender ride by AP. He is very much one to consider for the Centenary, if he gets in.

did you notice the ride he gave Alderwood  in the 3.10 ?

Could see from a mile off that alderwood was very tenderly ridden 2day, defo being laid out 4 sumthin at the festival, take a look at synchronized,s run at aintree in October an u knew it was being laid out 4 sumthin exactly like alderwood was 2day !!

Defo didn't look gud Hugh, think the other thing u have 2 ask yourself is why put mccoy up 2day an ride it like he did ? Only thing I can think of is he's getting a gud feel 4 the horse this afternoon b4 a bigger target down the line I.e county hurdle

There is plenty written on here about dodgy rides (and I don't get involved with it) but backers of Alderwood deserve some explanation.

I hope there are some comments/reports/excuses in the Racing Post tomorrow, as it's getting difficult to defend the frequency of similar perceived schoolings.

Due a run this weekend

Absolutely gutted I missed this...really worn out with all the Festival studying by the time of the County Hurdle, and I just accidentally skipped past it!

I noticed it on the day (why I've bumped it up) how 'tenderly' it was ridden and knew in my bones there was a big prize waiting - it's now 'evidence' after Friday's performance.
What made it so telling for me was that I didn't even have a bet in that Leopardstown race, so there was no 'pocket-talking'

I'm getting very disillusioned nowadays with this sport (as are many others) and with replays of EVERY race available, these instances are becoming more regular - trouble is...it's like a full time job putting in the work to spot these things, and all it takes is for ONE person to have seen the same as you have, and fcuk it all up

Just shows you the benefit of keeping a notebook (as I used to years ago) because as I get older, these names aren't as easy to recall as they used to be.

Anyone know what the best AP prices were available for this rancid job horse?
