Lots of big names on show this weekend and a lot of reputations are at stake....
The Deloiite looks a cheltenham race just on its own with... Sous Les Cieux Captain Conan Cash And Go Midnight Game
Captain conan must be respected here as has obviously come for the ground and can only improve on his debut grade 1 win and the others all look top class prospects...
Last Instalment puts his unbeaten record over fences in a weak looking P.J Moriarty
Synchronised, Quito De La Roque, Quel Esprit, Jessies Dream put there gold cup credentials on the line in the great race that is the Irish Hennessy....gone are the days that a decent british raider turned up, desperate shame as always a cracking race...
Simonsig, Tetlami, All The Aces, Colour Squadron, Montbazon, Nelson´s Bridge and Vulcanite all entered in a red hot novice at newbury...
Invictus and Silviano Conti go in the scilly isles
Lond Run, medermit, burton port, tidal bay and what a friend turn up in a competitive looking denman chase
Sprinter Sacre cue card and the likeable stagecoach pearl turn up in a competitive game sprit, big reps here...
Zarkander off of 151 puts his champ hurdle credentials on the line in the totesport trophy....
Grands Cru enterd for the 3 mile novice
Interesting weekend and could lead to some decent shake ups in the markets...
Cash and Go interesting up in trip and fear for Cue Card with Stagecoach pearl in the line up to put his jumping under pressure and take him on for the lead...
Bog Warrior at Naas Saturday. Clear round should be enough mind you.
Will be intriguing to see how SS copes with some good horses in front of him but if CC and SP cut each other's throats then it should be set up for him and Hold Fast to fight it out.

I'm personally very surprised Captain Conan is fav in Ireland. I expect Sous Les Cieux to run much better than he did over Christmas... but hope the ground will help Cash & Go. It didnt bother him when he beat him last time, but I'm sure he's a better horse on softer ground.
One things for sure, the whole picture will look very different come Monday!

Thieves apologies yes didn't clock my own error on synch...was tired but still amateur nightbut still used to be a fabulous race with gold cup horses a plenty from over here...anyways always a race to enjoy...
ye I have to say catch me it surprised me a little although I am struggling to price the race up myself...
have to say the game spirit is difficult to fathom, even though it looks simple, I think Cue Card who you would have to respect because he seems to love the track looks destined to be taken on by the seasoned stagecoach...he maybe ok but one thing I will say he isn't going to get the easy lead he seems to crave and this is not a novice chase so jumping will be at a premium....find this quite intriguing myself because he has had the easy lead in his last 2 starts...

No worries Harry, apart from having an Irish owner, an Irish trainer, a regular Irish jockey and being Irish bred, Synchronised is completely British.
Agree, it is a shame that it doesn't attract more British runners, didn't use to be such competition from Newbury and Ascot in the old, old days. Good memories though. Nick The Brief

Remember the festival is 5 weeks away, not many of these will be tuned up like it was Champion Hurdle Day or Gold Cup day, it's important they run well but they don't necessarilly have to win, or similarly if something gets beaten it doesn't mean the horse can't win at Cheltenham...

I would say there is definitely going to be some sad faces trials or not...the deloiite is a grade 1 with some big reputations...get beat 6-7 lengths and cheltenham maybe a distant memory....sous le sous for one has questions to answer for me and if folding quickly again I doubt you will see him...but he can retrieve his big reputation with a good run....
