Hi guys, can anyone from Ireland shed any light on this fella please with regards to his participation in the Champion Bumper. lt was a very impressive debut to my eye and as he's by Presenting l expect him to be even better on better ground.

There was an artical in the Irish Field earlier in January and the trainer said they may wait for Punchestown with him, so its not definite yet that he comes over. Haven't come across anything since, which is disapointing as I have backed him.Sad

Thanks GI Mac, he looked mightly impressive the way he quickened up. The trainer knows what kind of beast you need to win the bumper. lf l remember rightly he was doing the same with Dunguib in the lead up to his romp, wasn't he?

He did look good, he's been compared favourably with Dunguib, with him the cheltenham bumper was always the plan if I recall, a few years ago now mind.

I still think he'll turn up, just need to wait and see. Trainer did say he would have a run in February.

there's a 'winner of one' bumper in Naas next saturday.  It will be interesting to see who may line up.  Would imagine VC would be running in this if going to cheltenham.

Leading owner JP McManus has moved to expand his ownership interests by purchasing Venture Capital and Thomas Edison, first and third in a hot Fairyhouse bumper in December. Thomas Edison, trained by Tony Martin, has already won on his next start, while fifth-placed Starkie has also franked the form with victory at the same track.

Thomas Edison was due to run in a maiden hurdle the other week..

Anyway good to see Venture Capital is still regarded.

Venture Capital won the best bumper ran either side of Irish sea, and it was no surprise to connections as he was backed as if defeat was out of question. Real likable animal and similar to Dunguib in appearance and structure. Can only presume he's cheltenham bound.

I should say very unlikely as nothing is 100% in this game - a bit in RP today
