I've decided on my strategy this year and that is to follow Pipies in all the handicaps. Loads for Notus at Leopardstown I notice this afternoon although may be PW. I reckon David is massively underestimated. On early and on large is the motto.

I was convinced it was going to be Consigliere for The Plate, but don't think that's going to be the target now, certainly after last coupla runs. GL

I thought Battle Group ran encouragingly on Saturday, having been off for a long, long time. I appreciate he ended up being beaten a long way, but he made a move at the top of the hill, with the minimum of ease, then dropped back.

I would like to see him go back over hurdles and take in the Coral Cup.

He has plenty of toe and could well try and do the Sandown / Cheltenham double.

This is off David Pipes website about Kazlian.

I was very pleased with the success of Kazlian at Leicester last Tuesday afternoon when easily landing the novices’ hurdle under a penalty.  Tom Scu sent our four year old on at the penultimate hurdle and he won as he pleased from High On A Hill.  The bare form of the race is difficult to assess – the runner-up, while useful on the flat had run poorly on his only previous start over timber, while second favourite Tuscan Gold was clearly below form.  Even so, he was very impressive and his jumping has improved with each start – he is clearly on the upgrade and his next target will be governed by what the handicapper decides to do with him, although I would imagine that he will eventually be contesting one of the novices’ hurdles at the Cheltenham Festival in March.

Interesting stuff.

Like I've said elsewhere I treat everything the Pipe's say with as much credibility as Aesops Fables.

Personally I don't think he's good enough for the Triumph but he's bred by the Aga Khan and looks exactly the type for the Fred Winter. Clearly this depends on his handicap mark but I'd agree his hurdling has improved with every race and I doubt if he'll be out again before the weights for the Festival Handicaps are announced.

Ive had Kazlian marked down for the Imperial Cup/ Fred Winter double and after seeing him entered in a handicap last week at the 5 day dec stage which was surely done to see what mark he got (130)it was no surprise when he didnt appear in the final decs.
I think theyre happy with 130 and we wont see him till March
