This is the first year I've really taken to a concerted effort at putting an Antepost book together. Not sure how it will go but worth a shot for experience if nothing more!

Hollow Tree ran a brave race today but outclassed by a couple of decent sorts. Not convinced such a prominent ride is the best idea with this one. Seems it will take quite a turnaround for this to be in the picture come March.

Horrible to take positives out of other horses' misfortune but Last Instalment's withdrawal has made my 20/1 on First Lieutenant look pretty nice (into 8/1 now).
Also think that Montbazon's chances have probably gotten slightly better this week with Sous Les Cieux, Cash and Go and Captain Conan doing their reputations no favours at Leopardstown. That said, Simonsig was very impressive today.

Hoping (probably in vain) for a wet Festival. Al Ferof will probably want a bit of give to null Sprinter Sacre's speed, and Shutthefrontdoor (just) got away with a faster surface today - if it comes up soft he could be a Mullins-buster.

Previous winners of the race Brindisi Breeze won today include Iris's Gift, Neptune Collonges, Chief Dan George, Wymott and Back In Focus.
Will be under estimated by the masses because he's trained in Scotland by some woman who goes out with that bloke who was a jockey 30 years ago.

Already managed to fall foul of my intention to put a halt to the antepost punting. Couldn't resist having a go on Ulck Du Lin after seeing the weights come out today. Could turn out to be extremely well in given French form and I can forsee it going off in single figure odds on the day. Despite PN's protestations, I think he knows he's onto a good thing here.

Cheers taker. Bookies seem to have taken a bit on this today as many have shortened her up. Tom George was very positive about her on ATR this morning. Also justing having read the Racecard, Timeform have given her a rating of 152p which is more or less the same as Alasi (153), better than Violin Davis (147) and only slightly below Our Girls Salley (155); all of whom are still a lot shorter prices.

Lazychef appears to be having a good festival! Just one winner for me yesterday and most of my multiples are looking bad, although a few of them are still on for absolutely monster payouts if the right horses win . Really good day for me yesterday, although if Medermit had won I would have ridiculous amounts going onto Long Run today (but that's just being greedy)! I went through all my slips this morning and I have got a few Lucky 15s and 31s with no winners but 2 or 3 placed horses at 20s, 16s, 12s, 8s etc rolling up onto today's races, so it would be good if one or more of Chapoturgeon, Olofi, Midnight Chase and Mount Benbulben could get placed today.
The win for Big Buck's guarantees me a profit for the week and ensures I've got a good chunk on Long Run, My Flora and Baby Mix. One of these winning would put me very nicely in front but the idea that 2 or even 3 might win literally has me shaking. I have, however, been here many times before and it doesn't usually come off, so I know what I am up against today. In any case, there is no harm in dreaming is there?
Whatever happens, I will definitely be laying those three to pick up a pain-relieving consolation prize in the event that they all lose.
