Bit puzzled why this one isnt shorter, only two logical explanations
A-Someone knows that it might not be the plan and the stable has better
B-The books think its only beaten stayers who will be better over further
If it was going is have it around the 12-1 mark in the AP market, its far bigger than that

Dont want to be heavily investing AP regardless, but would be interested. Watching the two races back it seems to jump beautifully, travel well and quicken up nicely.
Hadn't written off SLC until I watched all races back this evening - just doesn't seem to find anything once asked the question. Was hoping it just needed a strong pace, which would be guaranteed on the 13th, but not so sure now

Find it hard to cheer on any horse owned by the brains behind the whip debacle tbh...wherever it runs I doubt that Robert Cooper will be getting the leg up!

I just cant get out of my head the fact this horse spent 600 days off the track. I know his bumper form is classy but is he really a Grade 1 winner in waiting ?

Whats he done wrong? Looking at the horses ahead of him,are they that much better?? Sluices up after a long lay off and then follows up with another nice win. My dad, bless him, always told me not to be afraid of the price, horse dont know what price he is.

That is true Budd and handsome is as handsome does and he has done it thus far on the track, where it counts. I do not fancy him, but there are worse punts.

Thats why i'd like to see it appear in a graded race in the next month.
Both horses that came second in his two races have also gone onto win their next race and he did it all quite easily.

Certainly think theres a good case for his price being too big. Wish i knew he was definitely running,i would go in again for sure. There does seem to be a few holes in the candidates, not sure hes got more than many.

Two very likeable performances, settles well and jumps fluently.Finnished both his hurdle runs well suggesting he won,t be beaten for stamina,or by likely ground conditions. No entries at present, like to see him jump left handed however his bumper form suggests he should be fne.The horse he beat at kempton vulcanite is entered up twice later this week,he looked a certain improver as well, both are definately worth a second glance wherever they are entered.

I would concur that I find it hard to think there aren't at least one or two better in the Henderson yard. But he has no real negatives that we can see yet, his form is stacking up exceptionally well, and if Ebaziyan can win a Supreme Novices' then I see no reason that this fell can't.

Yet to see them Joist, you may well be right, however the days of this being a speed test seem over,as for ebaziyan he was plotted up,and sadly my last winner of the supreme.

He may well have been plotted up but my point was more that it doesn't neccesarily take a flashy/star-billed animal, as Ebaziyan's subsequent career would prove. What a rancid winner of the race he was
True, if there are better than they're being wrapped up to say the least.

I know it was a completely different test, but he did that very, very nicely.
Looks a fantastic prospect. Would love to know what the plans are.... I suppose the flat run suggests they could be thinking of a handicap route, even in spite of the lack of options? Cant see NJH taking this route with one of his best hopes for the Supreme myself.

Didnt see the interview mate, but betting definitely suggests that. Wonder if they have decided to do this because they want to take it a bit steadier due to the injuries he had? Would worry me slightly as he hasnt had that much experience over hurdles. Some engine though.

Agree with the majority, really fancy Mr Roy's horse to run a stormer, can't wait for Vulcanite's next run. Fancy that Kempton race to prove strong form with those two pulling clear.

I think the form line for the Supremes is the Kempton race at Xmas, and Vulcanite imo is the one to side with. Tetlami had the benefit of a run over hurdles last time they meant. Granted he was giving Vulcanite 5lb, but I think he can reverse form. Quote from Charlie:
"26Dec11 Kempton ( 16 GS ,RPR137 )
I´d be very disappointed if Tetlami beat us again. He´ll improve a lot for that and will just take the freshness out of him"

That not what they were saying before though VR! I had a pretty hefty bet on Vulcanite and the word was he was very ready first time up.
I agree he'll come on for the race, but remember Tetlami had run 3 weeks before and that was his first run in 300 days! So you'd have to think he has been brought along slowly. To beat him giving weight and win going away was impressive imo.

As I said I think thats the form line for the Supremes, so I am going to back both. Will just have a bit more on Vulcanite.
Right I didn't know that bit tbh...As I said I think thats the form line for the Supremes, so I am going to back both. Will just have a bit more on Vulcanite.
RC - Very much so I think. He has a big, powerful front end and nimble hindquarters. He's a very althletic looking horse.
I don't want to overegg things, but with that big white blaze he reminded me a little of Kauto Star - they have the same sort of body shape (though Tetlami is much lighter coloured and less physically imposing than Kauto).

Thanks Strontium. I thought he had filled out somewhat this yr myself. I saw him in the flesh in his bumper days and thought him too small but he looks quite a stocky model since returning. Quite stylish today. Looked bitterly cold. Thanks for the information.
